Cynthia Zaal offers a Technology of Stillness® to individuals seeking the good life.  She defines stillness as non-disturbance — a place of being where you are just who you are, authentically, without reacitivity or defense.  By definition, this place of being occurs beyond the limitations of your ego.  Cynthia’s purpose is to model this place as fully as she is able and to guide others to it.

Cynthia has a business background, earning an MBA and CPA.  She has worked in the corporate world, training, facilitating and supporting business leaders, from passionate entrepreneurs to the heads of Fortune 500 companies.

In 1990, at the height of her corporate career, both her health and her marriage began to break down.  At that point Cynthia began to seek ways of creating health, harmony, and vitality.  She studied and experienced all sorts of modalities to create deep relaxation and ease — from bodywork and other natural health practices to meditation.

In the process this exploration she discovered a state of being she calls “stillness” and experienced her authentic, spiritual nature.

She also met her two partners – Robert Petteway, a health professional whom she married, and her friend, Michael Mead, an entrepreneur.  Together they created a company, At Ease Technologies, to offer to all human beings the possibility of stillness as a way of being.

In 2009 At Ease Technologies was dissolved.  Cynthia created a hiatus — a time of rest and contemplation, waiting for an internal call to bring the stillness technologies back into the world.  Late in 2011, she began offering the Becoming Still weekend retreats as well as one-on-one and group mentoring.

Recently, Cynthia began to write books and articles to guide seekers to the openings and the possibilities that exist in the still spaces.
